What does it mean to shoot in “Natural Light”?
I shoot primary in natural light. It is my personal liking and I feel like embodies my style. I will use a reflector if need be in shadows or dark light areas, but for the most part I shoot in the dusk, or early evening, as well as morning and late afternoon. Whenever the sun isn’t to harsh. But don’t worry, I am perfectly capable of shooting indoors and low light areas.
How long does it take to get my photos?
I edit each of my photos my own and try to give you the best possible. So depending on wether its culling a small amount of images from a portrait shoot or a large amount from your wedding, delivery times varies. You will have a preview shortly after your session because I was a senior and a bride once, I didn't like waiting :) But on average you will have your images 4-6 weeks after.
When is the best time of day to shoot?
For portraits or engagement sessions, I shoot around dawn or dusk. I prefer the look of natural light to flash, and most of my portfolio is made up of that look because it is what I love to shoot. I also recommend scheduling your portraits on the wedding day during an optimal time for lighting, and I'll save the flash for the reception events. I always work with my couples to come up with a wedding day timeline for photos, so no worries on having to decide that for yourself. Ask me about my lighting guid and I can email you the examples and outlines:)
How do we reserve you for our wedding or portrait session?
Yes! I require a 50% non refundable retainer fee for weddings, with the remaining balance due 30 days prior to your date. And the entire fee for photo sessions is due at time of booking. This fee is required to reserve a full calendar date with me.
