Genevieve + Dante // Ridgefield WA, Backyard Wedding

Genna + Dante's wedding was such a special day for so many reasons, and I was honored to be a part of it.  I met Genna back when her mother Katheryne contacted me about getting Genna's senior pictures done. We spent an evening together, the three of us getting to know each other and connect. It was a couple of hrs that left an impact on me for a long time because when I had seen that Katheryne had lost her battle with cancer in 2016 I was heartbroken. And through social media I watched Genevieve go through the loss of her best friend, become engaged to the man of her dreams, and become a mother to the sweetest little boy in the world.

My job goes deeper than taking pictures, it's 100% about making connections and getting to know the people I photograph. At times I feel like I get to be a part of their lives for a season. And for this season of Genevieve's life, I felt a roller coaster of emotions, the kind that as a daughter and young mother myself I feel deeply for Genna. But seeing her with Dante brings me so much joy when they are together you sense Dantes protection for Genna. The protection of her heart and their little family, it gives me goosebumps thinking about it. I have been there for the engagement pictures, the family pictures when I got to meet little EJ, and see the three of them work as a family.

I couldn't wait for the wedding, it was an evening filled with family and close friends and a lot of laughter. Everyone was involved in helping set up the wedding and get things ready. It was a beautiful day and I was honored to be a part of it. On a side note though, these two are out of this world hot. Like really, Genna was goddess and Dante was looking so rad. The end. Venders
